HaYom Harat Olam: Today The World Was Born
Rosh Hashanah is called “the birth of the world”. On this challah cover, Chana uses the theme of birth and creation to honor a man named Abraham whose birthday is on Rosh Hashanah. Because it is customary to read the story of the Patriarch Abraham during the Rosh Hashanah service, Chana intertwines Rosh Hashanah imagery, generative imagery, and the parallels between the stories of the two Abrahams.
