Text[0]=["TOP LEFT","This work is dedicated to a theatre professor who teaches mask work and movement. Chana uses the three masks and a quote from stage innovator, Jacques LeCoq to refer to the pure, intact essence of every human being. The Hebrew words are from the Jewish prayers recited upon awakening, \"The soul/breath (\"<i>neshama</i>\" means both \"soul\" and \"breath\") God has put in me is pure.\" And \"a pure heart was created for me.\" The circle has the words from Psalms 139:12, \"Darkness and Light are as one.\" Puzzle pieces come together to symbolize the fulfillment of daily life, memories and relationships. The piece was painted for a person named Robin, so a robin redbreast is perched on the Hebrew letter <i>mem</i>: a closed form that also represents wholeness."]
Text[1]=["BOTTOM RIGHT","This is the prayer for healing from the Jewish liturgy: \"May the One who blessed our ancestors bless the person who needs healing with renewal of body and spirit. Amen.\" Also there is the prayer from the Torah where Moses begs God to heal his sister, Miriam. The goblet and candles are symbols of light and joy. To the right of the goblet is the traditional toast, <i>L'chaim</i>, To Life that is good and peaceful. Emerging from the cup are the words from the liturgy, \"I lift the cup of redemption.\""]
Text[2]=["CENTER RIGHT","An image of a rose honors the memory of Rose, the late mother of the person who received this painting. The circle represents the bringing together of the arcs of our life stories. Poet T.S. Eliot is quoted about life's circular journey and the compass is derived from an ancient Roman map. Above the circular quote is from the liturgy: \"May ministering Angels guard you on all your paths.\" The overarching words are from the Hassidic Rabbi Nachman of Breslav, \"The entire world is a narrow bridge, and the point is not to be afraid.\" The verse consumed in flames is from the Chorus' prologue in Shakespeare's Henry V. These lines summon the muse and convey the artist's best wishes for heavenly inspiration. The floating bubbles invoke the guiding souls of ancestors and recall a photograph of the painting's owner as a toddler chasing bubbles."]
